Why is Bride and Groom Prep not included in the standard package?

Prep is a very intimate setting and although we do try to be extremely unobtrusive that becomes increasingly difficult when you're one of five people in a room. Nerves are bubbling and you feel self-conscious, getting dressed in front of a camera? It’s hard for it not to be awkward. Just enjoy this part.

Some of your wedding should just be for you. With phones these days, between you and your squad you will be able to capture everything you need from prep.

We will still handle all the formal portraits, so you will still have those iconic shots.

We'll take over from ceremony. Now your wedding is in full flow and you're not going to notice us, this will allow is to lean into our unobtrusive approach to documenting a wedding

Is a wedding film for me?

Watching video so much more of a emotional experience from looking through photographs: have you ever got the feels Watchung a strangers wedding video?

Being able to witness a moment or action in real time - the emotion unfolds on your partner's face, the swirls of your first dance. These actions can be captured in photographs, but the fluidity of the moment, the reactions, and emotions - it is very hard to capture all of that in an image. With video, however, you can experience the moment as though you were there, with all its little nuances.

Video captures a person’s mannerisms - The subtle movements and characteristics of a person that make up their personality. The way they tilt their head when they listen, or talk with their hands, or shyly smile, or twist their hair. Again, a still photograph may capture more broader actions, but those teeny tiny expressions are something that can only really be caught when you are continuously filming someone.

The process of emotion - of these instances may have a peak emotional moment, but really, all these instances involve a range of emotion - from ramping up to recovery. With video, you as a viewer can experience the entire journey of the emotional moment.

Audio is where video really excels in transporting us back to a memory. Hearing the voices of people, we may not have seen for years, the ambient sounds of the environment that trigger our sense memory of that place. Hearing the voice of a child who is now grown. Sound takes the nostalgia to the next level.

Finally, we couldn’t talk about video, particularly edited video, without discussing narrative. By choosing how to arrange the video clips into a particular order, the filmmaker takes the viewer on a journey.

Photographs are wonderful to look at, but video is a moving transportive experience.

Can I choose the music for my wedding film?

Unfortunately not. You are hiring us to create a creative narrative film that represents your wedding day after all. Our choice in music plays an integral role in your film; it allows us to set a particular mood and pace of your film. If you remember any movie you have watched recently, the soundtrack rarely dictates the narrative, but rather is there to support it.

We use music from talented emerging artists from around the world. There are tonnes of incredible artists out there producing truly awesome music, and you’ll have the knowledge that not only are you directly supporting new talent, but your film’s soundtrack will be unique to you. You won’t associate your wedding film soundtrack with anything other than your day, making it so much more special and personal!

We love the process of finding the perfect music to suit your film, it’s as important to us as the footage – and we have really good taste. We realise we’re biased, but still… it’s true.
